Our Association intends to be the collective voice of Tahoe’s short-term rental community. We can be residents, hosts, local businesses, and other advocates who understand and protect the rights of homeowners to responsibly rent their properties, who believe in fair and reasonable regulations of short-term rentals, and who depend on the value that private hosting brings to the Tahoe economy. Short-term rentals are essential to the economies of the Tahoe Basin. In 2019 alone, short-term rentals contributed $10 million in visitor spending at local businesses, $8 million in taxes, and so much more to our community.
